Novità

As the speedy little brother in the ASICS Ride series, the ASICS EvoRide offers the same rockered design as the MetaRide and GlideRide but in a lighter-weight, more uptempo-oriented running shoe. Designed to make the runner more efficient, the EvoRide features the brand's Guidesole technology. The stiff forefoot and curved sole design help to roll the runner forward through their stride with minimal energy, and for maximum energy return, the shoe features a FLYTEFOAM Propel midsole for comfortable cushioning with a responsive ride. Finally, to achieve a high-performance fit, the lightweight, jacquard mesh upper delivers breathability and a secure lock-down with minimal overlays.

In breve

By using ASICS' highest level of innovation in an affordable and lightweight model, the brand has been able to elevate their daily training offering. The ASICS EvoRide offers versatile and responsive cushioning that can do anything from uptempo workouts to marathon races, and its smooth and efficient ride will make this shoe a favorite amongst amateur and elite runners alike. Those who enjoy a slightly firmer and more responsive feel will find the ASICS EvoRide to be a no-nonsense daily trainer that offers modern technology at an amazing value.

Nel dettaglio

Comfort i

Rigida Morbida

With a full-length FLYTEFOAM Propel midsole, the cushioning of the ASICS EvoRide offers a firmer, more performance-oriented feel. Although, our testers agreed that the shoe had enough softness to keep from feeling harsh underfoot.

Liz: "The FLYTEFOAM Propel midsole has just a touch of softness in the EvoRide. It was comfortable to run in, but those who enjoy a super plush shoe may find it on the firmer side."

Justin: "The EvoRide has a firmer feel to it. After the first few workouts, I felt it got a touch softer, but it wasn’t by much. It is definitely a more responsive feel."

Corsa/Ritorno di energia i

Meno elastica Più elastica

Thanks to its responsive cushioning and rocked design, the ASICS EvoRide has a fast and efficient ride. Our testers found that it was easy to run fast in this shoe and felt that it had the versatility to do anything their daily training demanded.

Liz: "The midsole gives the EvoRide a springy feel. I found that the shoe's lower stack height and flexible outsole made it feel more natural and easy to pick up the pace in comparison to the GlideRide."

Justin: "Although I would not categorize this shoe as being very “bouncy”, it definitely felt responsive to changes in my pace."

Protezione i

Bassa Alta

Where the ASICS GlideRide is designed to handle longer distances with ample protection, the EvoRide compromises underfoot protection for a faster, more nimble ride. Our testers agreed that it provided enough shock absorption for longer efforts but felt it was best suited for those who prefer a slightly firmer feel.

Liz: "Despite the fact that the EvoRide is less cushioned than the GlideRide, I felt like the shoe still offered a good amount of underfoot protection. I would happily run a marathon in these shoes."

Justin: "The underfoot protection of the EvoRide is good. It's not what I’d call a highly protective shoe, but it definitely keeps you comfortable for longer efforts."

Flessibilità i

Rigida Elastica

Although the EvoRide features a stiff design that's intended to limit ankle flexion, it is the most flexible shoe in the ASICS Ride series. Our testers found that the rockered design gave it a natural feeling ride that did not feel overly rigid when running.

Liz: "Although the stiff midsole design limits the flexibility of the EvoRide, it has a more flexible ride than the GlideRide. Because of this, I felt that the EvoRide lacked the learning curve that I experienced with adapting to the Glideride. The EvoRide felt easy and smooth from the first mile."

Justin: "This is definitely a more rigid shoe. However, it does feel natural running in it, and I had similar thoughts about the GlideRide. The flexibility, or lack thereof, was never an issue for me."

Strutturata Regolabile

The ASICS EvoRide features a lightweight, open mesh upper with minimal overlays. Our testers felt that it provided a slightly narrow, more performance-oriented fit that was complemented by a plush padded heel collar and tongue.

Liz: "The lightweight, mesh upper adapted to my feet for a comfortable fit that still felt geared for performance. It was incredibly breathable while providing a plush feel thanks to the padded tongue and heel collar."

Justin: "The upper of this shoe was great. It had a well-fitted design that kept my foot secure without any discomfort."

Opinioni personali

LizOverall Score: 9/10

With the new MetaRide and GlideRide models, ASICS has brought fresh innovation and exciting products to the market. I enjoyed running in the ASICS GlideRide, but the moment I put the EvoRide on my feet, I knew it was the shoe for me.

The EvoRide brings the rocker design in a lighter weight and more nimble package. Although it is less cushioned than the GlideRide, I found this shoe provided just enough softness and protection to work for even my longer runs. Despite its lower cushioning, the responsive midsole makes it incredibly easy to pick up the pace in this shoe. The breathable upper provided a secure yet comfortable fit. My only complaint is that the tongue of the shoe seems a bit large and overly padded, but truthfully, it caused no discomfort during my run. It was more of a style issue than anything.

The EvoRide is a solid entry into the ASICS Ride series. I am a big fan of the GlideRide, and the EvoRide is lighter, more responsive, and less expensive. For me, this is a tempo/workout version of the GlideRide. I’d still use the GlideRide for the bulk of my miles due to its higher level of cushioning, but the EvoRide provides both a solid alternative for shorter runs and a perfect fit for tempo efforts.
