If you've been outside in the last few years, there's a 99% chance you've seen a HOKA Clifton. This is one of the most popular daily trainers out there, and for good reason. HOKA shook up the market with their highly cushioned, rockered trainers, and the Clifton 11 GTX continues the legacy. Now, they're bringing a water-repellent, weather-resistant GORE-TEX upper and extra traction underfoot to keep you moving smoothly against the elements.
Most importantly, in this GTX model, the upper is made of a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane that's designed to keep weather out of the shoe while still maintaining breathability. The shoe is treated for water repellency and is lined with reflective detailing so you remain visible on stormy days. An adjustable speed lacing system makes getting out the door seamless, so you don't have to worry about soggy, soaked laces.
The Clifton 11 uses a familiar, tried-and-true foam underfoot, and plenty of it. A generous pillow of cushioning sits under your heel and rolls through for an effortless stride. This shoe has a built-in system to wrap around the bottom of your foot, hugging and supporting you day after day. With enough cushion for recovery runs and a nice rocker to pick up the pace, the Clifton 11 is one of our favorite multi-tools.
A durable outsole coats the bottom of this shoe, giving a lightweight layer of protection as you spring your way through any training block. With sticky rubber in the forefoot and traction pods lining the outsole, you'll be ready to hit the roads, rain or shine.
