Its deeper 6.5 mm lugs bite aggressively into soft ground, mud, and hardpacked snow. And rest assured that the Vibram Megagrip rubber delivers industry-leading grip across varied ground, especially wet and rocky surfaces.
This remarkably lightweight and durable shoe features the same excellent midsole of EExpure foam for a responsive ride. Its low-to-ground feel is now more comfortable, due to a thin layer of soft EVA foam that's been added directly underfoot. With this addition, the Kjerag Brut is nimble, swift, and even more protective to face any terrain bravely.
The final highlight change for the Brut is its enhanced Matryx Micro upper. MIDSOLE
- EExpure foam is proprietary supercritical EVA that's engineered specifically for trail running performance, protection, and durability.
- 2 mm strobel layer of soft EVA foam sits directly underfoot for enhanced comfort. The original Kjerag intentionally omitted this layer to minimize weight and maximize direct compression of the midsole foam.
OUTSOLE
- Vibram Megagrip with Litebase is lightweight, durable, and super sticky even on wet rock surfaces.
- 6.5 mm lugs bite deeply into soft ground, for performance across mud and hard-packed snow.
UPPER
- Matryx Micro mesh is exceptionally breathable, thin, and durable. It's woven from individually coated polyamide and Kevlar yarns, with Micro openings for fast-drying water drainage.
- Neoprene tongue is hydrophobic yet breathable. Its wraparound design delivers improved foot hold.
